Respecting Parents

A reminder for first and foremost myself & for each of you, specially our youth. A reminder about an important issue which we neglect or don’t take seriously.
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour”.
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.” [soorah Al-Isra, v:23-24]

Another reminder, a heart-softening short clip by Shaykh Muhammad Hussain Ya3qoob & shaykh Muhammad Hassan.
Abu Hurayrah radi Allaahu 3Anhu reported that the Prophet sallAllaahu 3Alayhi wa-sallam said: “May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced, whose parents, one or both, attain old age during his life time, and he does not enter Jannah (by rendering being dutiful to them)”.
[Saheeh Muslim]

A heart-breaking call from a mother & some beautiful words of advice from Shaykh Nabeel Al-3Awady.
